Please introduce yourself and say hello to your new friends from WriteSmart Club


I'm Lan Tran a sophomore in Le Hong Phong High School. My hobbies are watching TV and movies, listening to music, earning money , writing stuffs, talking to my friend in English, especially taking part in WRITE SMART Club. Well , this is the first time I have ever created and run a club so I'm totally excited !!! At fisrt, I was too upset 'cause WRITE SMART didn't get any attention from people . Later, when I posted a thread in VA.org about WRITESMART. Thankfully, many people sent emails to asked if they could be a member of the club. Yes, definitely and absolutely, yes !!!


I'm very happy to see my baby - WRITESMART Club - has grown this big There are 2 organisers ( who are me and my beloved friend, Quỳnh Trang ), 16 members and 3 tutors. I hope we will have a wonderful together ^_____* Hopefully, all of us will archive something great and be accepted by US Colleges

I'm a Junior at an American high school in NJ. I met Lan on MyHappyPlanet.com where we shared out essays together. I LOVE to write and I have passion for helping others. I'm so impressed with this club and I'm excited to be a tutor and help those become passionate about writing as well. I play the piano (and teach it to children), as well as the guitar. I love to sing/write songs, act, make movies, and like Lan, MAKE MONEY :D! I also have a guilty pleasure...watching Taiwanese Dramas... (MIKE HE IS GORGEOUS!!)

Hey, I'm the Quynh Trang mentioned above by Lan :D.

I'm an 11th grader too. I'm from Tran Phu high school for the gifted (though I've got no idea what I'm gifted =))) in HP.

I love music (listening to & singing along only :-j), pumping (it's an arcade game, plz don't misunderstand ), like watching movies (both at home and the cinemas), modern-dancing, reading (magazines, books)...

My reading & listening are ok, but my speaking and writing are not. I usually find it hard to express my ideas to others, that's why i'm not good at speaking and writing (both English and Vietnamese) . Hope I can improve 1 of my weaknesses with this forum :D.

My name is Hoang Bao Long. I'm now the 2nd year student in Ha Noi Medical University.

I knew Lan via blog. In fact, we both had the same friend so we'd made friends. Then sometimes we share ideas about social problems and essays as well.

I have been studying English for nearly 12 years and my best feature is speaking. I'm currently trying to advance my vocabulary, enhance my grammar, practising writing and reading as well. Sometimes, I get dizzy about how they can write English so smoothly. In four skills of English, I show my most admiration to the person who can write English well. I think that's the most difficult skill.

Then I'll say something about myself. I'm a medical student so it's obviously that my major interest is medicine. I also enjoy listening to Metal and Classical, in addition, Celtic, Country, etc. I know programming, graphic and web design and music composing. However, I still say that my best feature is medicine ^^ That's my occupation in the future.

I join this group in hope that my writing English will be better. I'm not really confident in writing. So hope that you guys will help me to advance it ^^

My name is Tuan but you can call me tAnk if you like. I'm a Vietnamese and I'm currently studying in Singapore. (I used to study in Tran Phu high school for gifted, too. So... haha, coincidence... right, biplane ? )

To be honest, despite the fact that I'm studying in S'pore, my English is very bad.

Hence, without doubt, I decided to join this club as soon as I found it.

I hope that everyone and I can help each other to develop our writing skill and I also hope that we can be good friends in life.

A lil bit about myself : I like many things, actually, so I don't know where to start... ) I like music and I'm currently a member of the choir in my school, section alto ( just in case you are interested in it =)) ). I also like to play sports like basketball, badminton, football, etc. but ... i'm suck at 'em ) I think I'm better in Esport, I used to be a Counter Strike team's Captain... ).

I'm Thach, call me Rocky if you want, I'm 1st-year student of Hanoi University of Technology. Nice to meet you, guys.
I've actually started studying E since being in high school, and, you know, with late starting, I was really confused when studying it, but I really want to be master of it. Speaking and writing skill are my weakness, (especially my "Tap Lam Van" skill is too bad) that why I tried to take part in this club when finding a thread abt it in VA forum.
I found that joining this club, I would have many opportunities to improve my E skills, also to make friends with other lovely and friendly people.

Some info:
My favorite major: Computer Science, Business. And those are also the direction for my future career.
I take rather much time for sitting front of my computer. My hobbies are programming, hacking (do not misunderstand, plz ), researching, and ... anything I can do with my computer.
I like listening music (Rock, Rock, and ... just only Rock), also earning $$, reading books (if they're really good and worth reading), and many other things.
I think that's enough. Finally, hope that we can get high effects when working in group, working together. Hope the best for our club .

My name is Phuong and I'm a second year student @ UCSD majoring in BioChem [that could change, who knows ]. Some of my interests include reading, music, chit-chatting, going to the beach, hanging out with my friends, shopping, volunteering. My friend tried to teach me knitting but I gave up after few months. The most recent book I read was And Still We Rise by Miles Corwin. I would strongly recommend for anyone who has some spare time this summer .

I joined Write Smart club since I figure it would be a nice way for me to practice English as well as to make new friends. I don't write very well but I always say to myself, "the best part of writing is rewriting."

I am very glad to be the third organizer of this forum. You guys can call me Hong Ngoc or Jen, whichever you prefer, I am ok with them both. I am an exchange student in US now. I will be responsible for our Debate thread (so excited now), however, I still need everybody's help in order to accomplish my mission (sounds like a big goal, huh?).
In fact, I am not self-confident about my writing skill because it takes me a lot of time to writing and I tend to write page after page (my English teacher always scolds me because of the length of my essay). Thus I am trying to writing short essay in limit time now.
I am from Danang City (wonder anyone here from the same city with me) and I love reading. I spend hours on reading novels (my most favorite type of books) and I play piano. And like many normal teenagers, I stick with the Internet and Music.

I often wonder how people can do that ). I'm unable to write long essays (esp. in VNese :">), while Lit teachers tend to like essays with numerous pages :-ss

PS: anyone here reads Princess Diaries? I'm looking for the 8th and 9th books but can't find them anywhere (.

I attend this board thanks to Lan's introduction. I'm learning for SAT and TOEFL iBT tests so I have to master my writing skill. Hope Writesmart can do me a favor ^^.

My interests are English, Photography, Art and Metal Music.

I'm running marathon for these two tests. Cramming is such a very tough stuff. That's why I'll have no summer within next 2 yrs.

My ambition is studying in an elite Uni. or Lac in the States, and after the graduation, I'll work for a financial group.
